Honoring Missing Black Girls

Her Story Matters
This space exists to correct the silence. Too many Black girls go missing without urgency, without coverage, and without the protection they deserve. Her Story Matters is our commitment to restoring what has been denied: recognition, truth, and humanity. Here, we honor each girl not by the circumstances of her disappearance, but by the fullness of who she was and the future she should have had. This wall stands as a promise: we will not look away, and we will not stop telling their stories.

Every missing girl carries a world of dreams, relationships, and possibilities that should never be reduced to a headline or a statistic. This wall honors their lives by restoring what the system too often strips away: their voice, their humanity, and their right to be seen. Here, we tell their stories with truth, dignity, and urgency, because every daughter deserves to be remembered, searched for, and fought for.

We honor Timeka by restoring her voice, remembering her light, and refusing to let her story fade. Her life mattered. Her story matters. And she still deserves answers.

When she disappeared in April 2012, the response to her case was fractured and delayed, leaving her family to fight for the urgency she deserved. Keiosha was more than the circumstances surrounding her disappearance; she was a daughter, a sister, and a young woman with a future that should have been protected. We honor her by speaking her
