Ingredients


For the Cinnamon-Spiced Apples:


  • 2 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Gala), peeled, cored, and diced

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • Pinch of nutmeg


For the Brown Sugar Cookie Crumble:


  • 4 small brown sugar cookies (soft or slightly crisp), crushed into coarse crumbs


For the Cream Layer:


  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 3 tablespoons mascarpone or cream cheese, softened

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract


For the Caramel Drizzle:


  • ¼ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • Optional: pinch of sea salt for salted caramel topping


Directions


1. Prepare the Apples:


  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  2. Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples are tender but still hold their shape. Cool slightly.



2. Make the Cream Layer:


  1. Whip heavy cream, mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Chill until ready to assemble.



3. Assemble the Parfaits:


  1. In clear glasses, layer as follows:


    • 2–3 tablespoons cinnamon-spiced apples

    • 1–2 tablespoons cream

    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar cookie crumble

    • Repeat until the glass is filled, finishing with a swirl of cream and a sprinkle of cookie crumble on top.


  2. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top, adding a pinch of sea salt if desired.



4. Serve:

Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for a slightly chilled version.
