The holidays deserve a loaf that feels like a celebration tender, fragrant, and just a little bit magical. This Cranberry White Chocolate Winter Loaf captures that spirit perfectly. Tangy cranberries swirl through a buttery vanilla base, while creamy white chocolate melts into each bite like ribbons of snow.
It’s the kind of loaf that looks stunning wrapped as a gift, yet feels right at home beside a cozy cup of tea. Every slice feels like winter’s grace a little tart, a little sweet, and entirely divine.
Affirmation: “I welcome the sweetness of the season soft, simple, and full of peace.”

Ingredients
For the Loaf:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract (optional, but lovely)
½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
¼ cup milk or cream
¾ cup fresh or frozen cranberries (halved)
½ cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
Optional: zest of 1 orange for a citrus-kissed finish
For the White Chocolate Drizzle:
½ cup white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil or butter, for melting
Instructions
Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a standard loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cream the Butter & Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
Add Flavor:
Mix in vanilla, almond extract, and orange zest (if using).
Combine:
Add the dry ingredients in three parts, alternating with sour cream and milk. Mix until just combined — don’t overmix.
Fold In the Magic:
Gently fold in cranberries and white chocolate.
Bake:
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Make the Drizzle:
Melt white chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
Finish:
Drizzle generously over the cooled loaf. Sprinkle with a few dried cranberries or shaved white chocolate for a festive touch.
